Biography

Earl Jackson Jr., son of a long time Baptist pastor, began singing in the church at an early age. In addition to singing, he also played trombone in the school and University bands. Looking back, for as long as he can remember, music and singing has always been a part of his life.

On a dare from a friend, while a senior in high school, EJ, (as he is affectionately known), auditioned and was selected for the school concert choir. He excelled in this endeavor and was subsequently selected for the All-Region and Texas Music Educators Association's All State Choir. His distinct talent did not go unnoticed and earned him a vocal scholarship to Texas A&M Kingsville, (formerly known as Texas A&I University).

During college, EJ participated in the University Concert Choir. He was also a member of the A & I singers, an elite group of eight voices that performed popular music on campus, as well as throughout the state as ambassadors for the university.

Taking a different route after college, EJ, pursued a career in aviation as an Air Traffic Controller. However, true to his passion for music, he continued to sing whenever presented with the opportunity to share his talent with others. These opportunities came through various venues, including weddings, social, and church functions. He was often asked the question, "Have you recorded professionally?"

Encouraged by friends and colleagues, and on the advice of his late mother, he decided to pursue his dream and record professionally some of his favorite songs. EJ enjoys all genres of music; but his personal favorites are ballads and love songs. His one desire is that in listening to his music, others will share in the pleasure he experienced while recording each song.
